HausWerks actively searches for homes on the market that offer wonderful renovation potential. Homes with good “bones” but without enough loving care - perhaps the existing home could be so much more! In these cases HausWerks will buy the home for re-development.

Our projects are always designed for a particular family - with a home we’re developing, we start as if we would live in it, and add the most flexibility we can build in to the design. Our goal is always to find a buyer early enough in the process that we can modify the build specifically for them, giving them the opportunity to choose fixtures, counters, moulding, and even to make plan changes.

Current Projects

Our most recent development project was 139 S. Columbia Drive in Decatur, Georgia. This historic 1926 Craftsman Bungalow has an interesting history. Its previous owner lived there for more than 40 years, purchasing the home upon her return from WWII after serving as a nurse. Although the design and layout are excellent, it suffers from neglect and a lack of updating. This home, Winner of a 2010 City of Decatur Design Award has been beautifully restored and updated to a 4-Bedroom 4-Bath with a detached 2-car garage. Recent Projects

Recent development projects include 2811 Craigie Avenue. This post WWII development home started its life as a one-story, one-bedroom, one-bath home on a small corner lot. HausWerks transformed this home into a beautiful two-story Craftsman with 3 bedrooms, 3 baths and a 2-car garage. The buyer came to us early in the project and we were able to customize many aspects of the home to their taste.
